Litterers can go straight to hell. Seriously. I can’t even be remotely nice anymore after what happened today.

I got home from work, and because it’s summer and it’s still light out when I get home, I’ve been taking Arthur for walks when I get home. Where I walk him, I walk by a set of dumpsters at the apartments across the street from mine. This is pretty convenient if he goes to the bathroom but people for some reason like to dump trash AROUND the dumpsters instead of INSIDE them. Because laziness.

Today we were walking and Arthur started to lag behind. I thought he might be trying to find a spot to go, but when I looked back at him I saw that someone had tossed half a loaf of unsliced bread onto the ground and my ridiculous dog had the entire damn thing in his mouth. Fortunately, he’s pretty good about dropping things when I tell him to, but if he really wants something, he’ll horf it down before I can stop him. Luckily he wasn’t stubborn today and dropped it.

I picked it, and it was half a loaf of raisin bread. It had dozens and dozens of raisins all over it. Now you may be wondering why I’m upset about this. Well let me tell you.

RAISINS ARE POISONOUS TO DOGS.

If he’d eaten that, it probably would have killed him.

Now maybe some of you are thinking “Well you just need to keep a better eye on him.”

Well maybe you need to pull your head out of your ass. My dog weighs nearly 80 pounds. And he has a much better nose than I do. He smells something delicious in tall grass, he’s got it in his mouth before I even know it’s there. And keeping him in lock step next to me at all times completely defeats the purpose of walks. He needs to sniff around, he needs to use the bathroom, he needs to explore, which he can’t do if he’s glued to my hip. And he needs to be able to do that without being poisoned by some lazy jackass who somehow can’t be bothered to toss his trash in a dumpster that’s 10 damn feet away.

Seriously if you litter we can’t be friends. Do not pass go, go directly to hell. Goodbye.
