I’m so conditioned to not use Fire Exits, I’m not sure I’d think to use one during an actual fire.

I remember my parents getting into a huge blow up in the cinema because my father wanted to use the fire exit and my mother was afraid an alarm would go off.

Having been around when someone accidentally tried to go through a fire exit, I can confirm an alarm absolutely would have gone off.
