I finally tracked down some collars for the cats, since I wanted to get them collars before the move. I kept putting off getting them collars because cute ones can be expensive. (I really don’t want the ones I got them to be permanent, except maybe Nebula’s. Hers fits her, it’s purple with rhinestones, Horatio’s is the same only black. I haven’t given up my search for a nautical themed one for him.) 

Anyway, I was really afraid that since they’re several years old now and have never worn collars that they’d be like oh, HELL NO to the collar thing, but a few minutes in, they seem fine. Like “Oh. Okay. I guess I’m wearing a necklace now.”

 The only problem is the collars have bells and I forgot until I put them on that Nebula HATES bells. Something about the sound of jingle bells -which damn near every single cat toy has- absolutely terrifies her. Luckily the bell is small, so she seems to be dealing with it, but I’ll probably take it off once she’s done eating dinner. Horatio doesn’t seem to care much for the bell either. He keeps running around like he thinks he’s being chased by something with a bell and he can’t escape it. 

But still, better than I was expecting.
