This has probably been brought up in the notes already, but one could argue that since tofu is a component of East and Southeast Asia cuisine, having its origins there, that for any vegan to claim it belongs to vegans as a group, rather than belonging to its actual culture of origin, is itself an act of cultural appropriation.
