This song was first composed like this and changed and adapted for Tanz der Vampire by Jim Steinman.
But the song found its way into a musical: Bat out of hell also by Jim Steinman

For me it will always be the original recording by Meat Loaf for the Bat Out of Hell II album, though I really like the update given to the melody in Tanz.
