I keep running into one of my fanfic pet peeves of people tagging fics for fandoms that have multiple continuities, MFU or IT with all the continuities, like tagging fics for IT (2017) for the 1990 miniseries or MFU fics that are clearly for the movie with the TV series tag. That last one is particularly bad because there is no resemblance between the movie and the show. None whatsoever. Even one of the leads from the show had something to say about it. I’m not trying to be an asshole but I’m pretty sick of going into the tag for the show on AO3 and seeing Napoleon and Illya call each other cowboy and whatever it is Napoleon calls Illya in that.
