Honestly we weren’t raised this way. Our dad especially was particularly insistent about being courteous to guests, and my mom would never let someone in her home go to bed without making sure they’d eaten. I don’t need them to cater to me, but I would like to know whether I’m on my own for dinner a little sooner than the last fucking minute.
Let me plan. All I’m asking.

We’re both really stupidly non-confrontational (thanks Dad!) so we’re pretty crap about talking about things. He’s also pretty forgetful. He just asked me how old I am for example, so I really don’t think he’s doing it on purpose. I’ve started asking him directly if I’m on my own for dinner, plus I’ve been keeping some pasta and canned vegetables in my room so I won’t starve.
But that day was particularly bad and tiring, and that just seemed especially inconsiderate. It was sort of upsetting because we weren’t raised that way. I dunno. I’m looking for a new place so soon I’ll be on my own again.

I’m fairly certain there are one or two mfu blogs that have me blocked and I can see their posts and even like them but I can never reblog them. I don’t know why they have me blocked. I mean, it’s fine, it’s just frustrating to see a post I like then be told I can’t reblog it. I’d rather not be able to see it at all. I’m not sure why I feel that way, but *shrug*
