It just occurred to me that with the move and all my stuff being everywhere and disorganized, all the disorder is probably murder on my ability to focus. I am so certain I have ADHD and I want some help (ie medication) so bad but I can’t get any right now.

My depression/insomnia/whatever is screwing me too. I can’t get to sleep until late. I’m having trouble winding down, and when I do finally get to sleep I just can’t seem to get up again. I’ve been-no joke-not getting up until after 3 pm. And then I can’t focus on my work, and then I don’t get to sleep until late again. Vicious cycle, etc. Melatonin is basically useless to help me.

I know I should be exercising more, but I’m so tired all the time, and I don’t have any space because of all the boxes. And I’m in Texas. It’s still in the 90sF here so going outside to exercise is hard. And how do you get enough sleep at proper times when your mind and body are both like “no.” I’m eating as well as I can, surprisingly so actually. I’m trying to empty my freezer before I move, so I’ve been eating lots of decent protein and vegetables and complex carbs.

I’m going to try to get back to using timers and lists, get on top of what I need to be doing, but it’s hard to get started and the work is so tedious.

Anyone on here gone through any of this? Any advice?

George Takei was so excited to do this shirtless episode. He spent all his free time doing push-ups for a week before they shot this.

they were going to give him a katana and have him be a samurai, but he didn’t want to be stereotypical, so he told the execs that he could fence and they wrote in references to the three musketeers instead

he could not, in fact, fence

he spent the weekend before shooting learning how

Not only that, but he found he liked fencing, kept it up, and became a master fencer.

When I had the privilege to hear him talk at AwesomeCon 2015, he informed us he is a master fencer. It was a very clear implication that he is still fencing at his advanced age. No wonder he’s so healthy.

He had far too much fun with this episode and it shows.

Reblogging for all this cool trivia

And also for George Takei running through the Starship Enterprise with a sword and cackling sinisterly

Reblogging for ALL of this, and for the coolness of George Takei still kicking butt with a sword to this day!

Reblog if you trust George Takei with a sword to protect you

“In the end, [Takei] loved his sword-fighting scene so much he held onto the rapier for several hours, poking stage hands with it and engaging in mock duels off the set.” – IMDB’s trivia

Also, this is illustrative of a well-known principle of modern acting: If you ask an actor if they know how to do something unbelievably cool and moderately dangerous to others, they will always tell you “yes”.

when people try to talk about how honey is supposedly unethical because we’re stealing the bees’ food I’m just like, genuinely curious if you’re aware that the honey we eat is the result of beekeepers raising colonies and harvesting the excess honey while making sure the bees are all good and fine, and that the honey you buy at the store is from a farm and not just like going into the woods and sticking your hand in a beehive like a bear in a cartoon and stealing the wild bees’ honey

Honestly I think the worst part of It was the trailer beforehand for some new movie with Ellen Page where it sounds like someone took the sound of someone having an orgasm and turned it into a song. It was one of the most uncomfortable sensory experiences I have ever had.

It’s like they took one of those cliched dirty phone calls from back before caller id was a thing and made it into a movie soundtrack. I could not wait for it to be over.

This is potentially life saving information everyone should know.

No you guys this post helped me find my cat. He was missing for almost a month and I’ve had him for over 12 years. After seeing this I put his favorite blanket he always slept on outside hoping he would smell mine or his scent and he was back the next fucking day asleep on it.

When my cat got out, we called and called for him, and then, later that night, I remembered similar advice to this, and so put his little scratching pad, which he adores, on the front porch. Not even half an hour later, I heard a thump, opened the door, and there was his big butt, meowing at me.

Important and vital

I don’t care that I reblogged this today I’m reblogging it again

awwwww babies ;_; i hope everyone’s pets come home safe.
