There are times that walk from you like some passing afternoon Summer warmed the open window of her honeymoon And she chose a yard to burn but the ground remembers her Wooden spoons, her children stir her Bougainvillea blooms
There are things that drift away like our endless, numbered days Autumn blew the quilt right off the perfect bed she made And she’s chosen to believe in the hymns her mother sings Sunday pulls its children from their piles of fallen leaves
There are sailing ships that pass all our bodies in the grass Springtime calls her children ‘till she let’s them go at last And she’s chosen where to be, though she’s lost her wedding ring Somewhere near her misplaced jar of Bougainvillea seeds
There are things we can’t recall, blind as night that finds us all Winter tucks her children in, her fragile china dolls But my hands remember hers, rolling ‘round the shaded ferns Naked arms, her secrets still like songs I’d never learned
There are names across the sea, only now I do believe Sometimes, with the windows closed, she’ll sit and think of me But she’ll mend his tattered clothes and they’ll kiss as if they know A baby sleeps in all our bones, so scared to be alone
Please drink water and eat plenty fruits so you can also taste as good as your partner.
Please Exfoliate both your face AND body.
Please Wash, Deep Condition, AND Detangle!
Please try not use hair care products that say “Men” because they use the same fragrance as AXE which is harmful to both your skin and scalp. And ITSTINKS.
ITS OKAY TO SMELL LIKE FRUITS. SHEA BUTTER OR FLOWERS. SMELL HAS NO DAMN GENDER.
There are ‘masculine’🙄 natural scents also; Eucalyptus, Sandalwood, Sage, Peppermint, etc.
MOISTURIZE EVERY PART OF YOUR BODY. ESPECIALLY YOUR LIPS.
Point is….take care of yourself…damn.
Toxic/hyper masculinity is so bad men can’t even take care of themselves without it being considered “gay” or frowned upon in some form of fashion smh
Exactly! It should be something we should all encourage and not frown up when we see a man doing a facial or getting a pedicure. It’s perfectly normal to want your outside to reflect the inside.
Please, for the sake of shared spaces, take care of yourselves. BO is not attractive. Your natural musk is a hazard to my nose.
Use sunscreen. Men get skin cancer too (men who work outdoors are some of the highest number of people who die from melanoma.)
This includes POC of all genders. People with deeper skin tones are less likely to get skin cancer but they’re also more likely to have it looked over and missed when they do get it so keep it in mind.
Also drink water and eat well because its GOOD FOR YOU. I mean tasting…nice…is…good…I think
But stay hydrated because it’s good for your body and your brain.
