Not a movie, but the Big Finish audio the Book of Kells. It’s clearly written by an English man who knows nothing about the Early Medieval period, Ireland, and especially the Early Medieval in Ireland (also all the Irish people are now English WTF Big Finish, the priests in Kells in the late 10th early 11th century WOULD NOT ALL BE FUCKING ENGLISH). Anyway there is my daily crazy Northern Irish archaeologist rant, I am going to lie down and yell into a pillow
See I think that’s a legitimate complaint. Just a terrible misrepresentation of historical fact. And definitely not quite as ridiculous as my maritime history professor’s rage against the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
And certainly not as ridiculous as my rage toward a wholesome family film that I’m not even 100% certain ever made it to dvd.
