Anyone been to cons? I’m going to my first tomorrow and I’ll be going alone.

Any advice? Other than wear comfortable shoes? I’m planning on bringing some cash but do booths take cards too? I’ve looked up parking and am trying to plan getting there. The convention center website said you can’t bring in food. Do these things usually have food? I am a Cranky Ass when I’m hungry. I’m planning on bringing advil. Oh and I’m assuming I can bring my backpack. People will be cosplaying so a backpack shouldn’t be a big deal right? The security and safety section of the website didn’t say I couldn’t.

Any etiquette things I should know? Or safety things?

I tried to go to bed early last night. I was ready for bed around 10 pm but didn’t get to sleep probably around 11 pm which wouldn’t have been a big deal except I woke up in the middle of the night at some point reciting limericks inside my head. To find that is dream had come true.

Over and over again. For at least an hour. Just woke up and there were limericks. It’s stupid o’clock at night, it’s dark, Horatio is asleep on my face and just limericks.

It was maddening and now I’m exhausted. I want to go home and back to bed but what if the limericks come back?
