Me: Hey Internet, how do I make a circle skirt if my fabric is only 45" wide?
Internet Craft Blogs: You’re right! Most circle skirts are made with 60" fabric so it’s easier to cut out the pattern.
Me: Yeah I get that but is there a way to do it if my fabric isn’t that wide?
ICBs: Sure! You’ll need to figure out how much fabric you need before you make your pattern. You’ll need more because there’s less fabric there.
Me: Yes I figured that but how do I make the pattern and cut the fabric differently since it’s not as wide?
ICBs: Good question! But don’t worry about that super hard middle school math. We’ve drawn out a helpful diagram for you.
Me: Okay but this is for 60" wide fabric. How do I change it to accommodate fabric that isn’t as wide?
ICBs: Good luck with your project! I’m sure your beautiful family is going to love it!
