I need an adult-ier adult than me to give me some advice. 

I have a job interview tomorrow but this afternoon, the job I interviewed with on Monday made me an offer. I told the guy I’d call him tomorrow with an answer, but I won’t know anything about the other job that I’m interviewing for likely for a few days.

So do I tell the job I’m interviewing with tomorrow that I’ve already had an offer? I’m pretty sure the job I’ve already been offered is better, with better pay and benefits. I’m probably going to take it, but I don’t know about hours and location and stuff like that. 

How does one navigate this stuff? I suppose I could ask what the hours are like, but I’ve always been told that it’s generally bad to ask about salary and benefits during an interview. 

Thoughts? I’m overwhelmed and nervous and constantly on the verge of a massive anxiety attack.

Today in Racist Fuckery (10/10/17): Remember Deandre Harris? He was one of the young Black residents of Charlottesville who decided to stand up to the Nazi scum who had come to terrorize his town. For his bravery and courage, he was nearly beaten to death by a mob of white terrorists. This was caught on multiple livestreams and videos from the day, with pics/vids of the attack going viral. The police, of course, did little to nothing to catch his attackers; the internet, led by countless pleas from Shaun King (that dude literally was sending out daily emails for help) essentially had to hunt down the identity of these inbred savages. So with many of DeAndre’s attackers caught, he should be able to hope for some measure of justice, right? NOPE because in AmeriKKKa, a black man is at fault for his own violent beating, and he had no right to defend himself…or at least that’s what the Charlottesville police want you to believe, as they issued a warrant for his arrest yesterday. This arrest comes after white supremacist mounted their own online campaign to slander the 20-year old Harris. He will be turning himself in later today. Send your thoughts and prayers to DeAndre, and demand that any charges filed against him be immediately dropped. His day in court should be against his piece of shit attackers, not defending himself against lies mounted by the racist state. (1, 2, 3)

So I was notified via email that in order to vote in the 2018 primaries, I had to register my party affiliation, in my home state….by OCY 13TH

Holy shit guys. Please find out ur state’s voting rules and OH MY GOD PLEASE DO IT BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT. WE HAVE TO BEAT THE CONSERVATIVES IF WE WANT TO HAVE ANY MEANS OF OPPOSING TRUMP.

Voting abroad should still be similar to ur state’s rules, please….google is ur friend.

To vote in the 2017 Virginia elections, you have to register and have your info up-to-date by October 16, 2017.

You want to make a difference? You vote in off years. Non-presidential elections. And you vote on all of the elections. It will take you a few minutes on your state board of elections website to figure out the issues, candidates, and where to get the info.

And this year in Virginia, it’s a big election. Our governor cannot run again for reelection, and we’re up against a scary ‘I was Trump before Trump was Trump’ republican and a more insidious, Pence-style republican. You want people to stand up to Trump and create laws that support the local population? This is it. This is when it matters.

I have long said that in order for any comedy to truly succeed as a story, there has to be meat beneath the jokes. There has to be that moment when it is not funny any more.

This. This is that moment.

#honestly even though this is one of the best scripts there ever has been  #that is the greatest line  #it’s /groundbreaking/ in terms of how it frames vengeance quests; temptation beats; inigo as a comedic figure throughout the movie  #you know because this is a happy book (film) that inigo will get his revenge  #but will he get JUSTICE  #will he get ABSOLUTION  #will he get CATHARSIS  #those are the things we don’t know  #and that line sells it more than any of the previous scene (x)
